St. Margaret's Church in Raciborowice, together with its historic wooden bell tower, is still an eye-catching monument of the village near Krakow. The history of the village dates back to the 13th century. The artist has immortalized the characteristic tower in an extremely picturesque composition. The spreading branches of the trees, clear brushstrokes and luscious colors make up a sophisticated painterly study. Henryk Uziembło was an artist who realized himself in many fields of art. In addition to painting, where one sees references to the Stanislavski school in landscape themes, he made polychrome paintings and was involved in printmaking and decorative arts. In 1906 Uziembło spent time in England and Paris.
