Oil, panel?, 36 x 45 cm, signed l.d.: E. Cieczkiewicz.
Painter, studied fine arts at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow under F. Cynk, W. Łuszczkiewicz and L. Wyczółkowski. The influence of these artists left a strong imprint on his work. For financial reasons, he was employed as a railroad worker, but did not stop painting. After World War I, he mainly made landscapes of the Beskid and Podhale regions. Depictions of mountain landscapes are also numerous, and views of Polesie, Volhynia and the Bialowieza Forest are encountered. During World War II he was in Lviv, where he processed harrowing views of persecuted Jews. Cieczkiewicz also illustrated humorous books and magazines. He exhibited in Lvov, Krakow, Poznan and Sosnowiec.
