Aerotarg - one of Poland's first domestic airlines, founded on May 10, 1921 in Poznan, Poland, to serve participants and visitors to the 1st Poznan Fair. Six Junkers F 13s were leased from Danziger Luftpost for this purpose. The airline began operations on May 28, 1921, the day the fair opened, and operated flights until June 5, 1921, the day it closed. To celebrate the launch of the service, the Polish Post issued a commemorative airmail surcharge stamp. During the fair, 58 flights were made on the Poznań-Warsaw-Poznań route and 30 flights on the Poznań-Gdańsk-Poznań route, carrying about 100 passengers and 3,000 kg of parcels. Both stamps can be considered as precursors of official issues of Polish airmail. The stamps have attached labels with the letters T A B R O M I K Â - this is an advertisement for Tadeusz Bronislaw Mikolajczyk's liquor company, which actively participated in the Fair as an organizer. The stamps were designed by Wilhelm Rudy, who worked for the airline, and the stamps bear his initials WR. The stamps were printed in Perf lithography and were valid until June 17, 1921. Condition b. good. Rare. 9245/32
