170 match labels with sports themes. Objects of applied art today somewhat forgotten. Produced by five Polish match product factories(Bystrzyca Klodzka, Czechowice, Czestochowa, Gdansk and Sianow), they depicted and advertised on matchboxes many important social events including sports. Among those exhibited are those showing the Olympic Games in Rome 1960, Tokyo 1964, Polish sports clubs such as Legia Warsaw or Wisla Krakow , encouraging sports, People's Sports Teams or advertising P.P. Totalizator Sportowy. In most cases, one theme consisted of a series of five labels with the same image, but indicating different establishments. The labels date from 1959-1966.They were obtained in the so-called subscription distributed by philatelic stores. Therefore, they were not affixed to matchboxes. Very good condition.
