Original drawing, illustration design. Z. Byczek - graphic artist, illustrator of children's and youth literature. Over the years he cooperated with many Polish publishing houses, mainly with the Publishing Institute "Nasza Księgarnia" and the National Publishing Agency, he also took part in numerous collective exhibitions. In 1986 he received the Prime Minister's Award for lifetime achievement for children and young people. His best-known works include illustrations for Hildegard and Siegfried Schumacher's Indian in Glasses, Maria Terlikowska's What's Up with the Malinowskis, and Joanna Papuzinska's Wędrowne wierszyki. In the "Read to Me, Mom" series, the artist illustrated the following short stories: Grandma also a Man by Irena Landau, Bijacz by Małgorzata Musierowicz, Grandma on a scooter by Ewa Skarżyńska, About a Girl Who Wanted to Be a Boy by Włodzimierz Klonowski. The artist developed his own cheerful and humorous style, and his trademark became a sweeping line in charming portraits of children.
