Bronislaw Chromy
Sculptor, medalist, draughtsman, painter, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences since 1994, student of Xawery Dunikowski. After graduating from the High School of Fine Arts, he began studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He received his diploma in 1956. He creates captivating, intimate sculptures by combining bronze and stone into one fantastic form. His inspiration is always nature with its extraordinary ingenuity of shapes and colors. He is also the author of numerous monumental works, monuments: Pieta Oświęcimska (1963), sculpture of the Wawel Dragon (1969), Monument to the Cellar under the Rams (2000).
