Leszek Michalski. was born on May 18, 1960 in Warsaw. As a fifteen-year-old, he began his art education at the Friends of Zachęta Society. In 1979 he began his studies at the School of Industrial Forms Design in Halle, Germany, at the Department of Toy Design. Since 1998, he has been working mainly in metal sculpture.
He works in brass and bronze, creating collections of intimate sculptures. He is most eager to show his works in unusual places - clubs, basements, industrial spaces, open air, thus building relationships between reality, sculpture and the viewer. In 2002 he was awarded the diploma "Creator of Polish Culture".
