Wojciech Sęczawa (1961)

Born in 1961. Studied at the Department of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts (now the Academy of Fine Arts) in Gdansk, graduating in the atelier of Professor Edward Sitek in 1986. Currently a professor at the Department of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. He presents his works in prestigious galleries in Poland (Gdansk, Elblag, Wroclaw, Poznan, Krakow, Warsaw) and abroad (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, France, Switzerland, USA). Winner of many awards, including the scholarship of the Minister of Culture and Art (1987), Winter Salon, Warsaw, silver medal (1993), Spring Salon, Warsaw, gold medal (1998), EFA Grant, New York (1995), First Prize for the design of the Mariner's monument in Gdynia (2006), Award (2011) and Scholarship (2012) of the President of the City of Gdansk.
