Zaremba coat of arms box

925 sterling silver partly gilded, hallmarked (R&D - in rectangle; city mark, sample mark, date letter), rosewood, bakelite ; height 4.5 cm, width 17 cm, gle. 11.5 cm; weight, 563 g (with insert).

On four triangular shaped legs, decorated with two gilded, cannelled stripes on a guilloche background; on the lid an applied gilded coat of arms of the nobility Zaremba in a cartouche under a crown with a jewel; inside a rosewood insert, with a Bakelite plate underneath.
This coat of arms was held by more than 100 noble families of which we can mention: Bielawski, Cielecki, Jaraczewski, Jarocki, Mańkowski, Skrzyński, Suchorzewski, Zajączkowski, Zaremba.
