A silver cup with a heroic story in the background: it was given to a royal epidemiologist doctor named Otto Neufeld on the occasion of the silver jubilee of his work in prison (as a doctor) by the inhabitants of the mista Fordon.
The society of Fordon (then Bamberg) was eternally grateful to him for saving the lives of dozens of people from the poorer strata of society thanks to his leading preventive vaccinations against cholera and plague.
Pr. 13 silver, no goldsmith's marks. Made in Berlin by the company "Sy & Wagner". Gilded on the inside. Intricately decorated with fruit and plant motifs. Visible engraving with a memorable dedication.
