Leipzig, Balthasar Lauch, l. 1670-74
forged silver, repoussed, inside gilded, m. 255 g; goldsmith's marks: 17th/18th century Leipzig city hallmark, goldsmith's name mark "BL"; height: 17 cm

Cup on 3 ball-shaped legs, body covered with rich decoration in the form of three architectural views in reserves, acanthus leaves and flowers; similarly decorated lid with ball-shaped handle. On the bottom an engraved inscription: "JULIUS QUEST F.B.L. PROUIANDT VERWALTER Ad. 1674".
