On a circular exalted silver foot, framed by a profiled band with scrolls, with a body of clear, crystal, ribbed glass, with a silver-wrought neck, with a triangular spout, with a dome-shaped lid, surmounted by a pinnacle, with a massive, broken ear, ending in an acanthus leaf on both sides.
The company was founded in 1847 by François-Alphonse Debain. In 1883 his grandson, Alphonse, succeeded the firm of goldsmith Philippe Berthier and took over his mark by adding his initials.
