"The closest tradition to which I can refer in my work is Greek mythology with its fascination with the conflict between dream and reality, between agony and ecstasy, and above all its cult of beauty, the measure of which is the beauty of the human body. I am full of admiration for the festival of human fantasy, a world of lovely and wise goddesses, seductive demigoddesses and flirtatious nymphs, because of whom wars are caused and sea monsters are killed. Of course, I try to interpret this world of myths from the position of modern man, with admiration, but also with distance, perversity and humor. To discover unintended associations and metaphors in it."
