From 1937 he was a full professor of painting. He exhibited at numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. The folk theme plays an extremely important role in Jarocki's rich oeuvre. The artist liked to paint figures of Hutsul and Podhale highlanders in characteristically decorated costumes and depict their traditional rituals. Much of his artistic output is now housed in many museums and in the famous Harenda, a Zakopane villa built by the Young Poland poet Jan Kasprowicz, the painter's father-in-law.
