Karl Kouba, Frog-King (Viennese bronze), late 19th century-early 20th century.
Painted Viennese bronze figurine, depicting a frog-king sitting on a bench (dwarf?) with the insignia of power: wearing a slightly crooked crown on his head, with a scepter in one hand and a golden apple in the other. Excellent reproduction of details: the crown is decorated at the base with an ornamental motif, there is a tiny cross on the apple. Signature of the artist on the bottom of the dwarf. Rare collector's item in very good condition - light traces of age (dings, rubbed paint in places).
Vienna, late 19th century-early 20th century.
Dimensions: 4.5 (height) x 3 x 3 cm.
