About the Author
In 1959 he graduated from the sculpture department of the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts. He is a performer of monuments, as well as interior decoration of churches (such as the church of the parish of the Elevation of the Holy Cross and Our Lady of Czestochowa in Pszczyna). His works include the monument to Wojciech Korfanty in Katowice, the monument to the September Scouts in Katowice, the statuette of the Silesian Literary Laurel, the Laurel of Konrad - National Festival of Directing Art "Interpretations", the statuette of the Ambassador of Jazz - Silesian Jazz Festival, the bust of Krystyna Bochenek in the Cultural Center of Katowice.
In 1994 he received the Karol Miarki Award[1], and in 2002 the Wojciech Korfanty Award from the Upper Silesian Association[2]. On December 14, 2007, from the hands of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, he received the Bronze Medal for "Meritorious Service to Culture Gloria Artis."
In 2014, he was honored with the Silesian Juliusz Ligon Award.
