Figure of a lioness half-lying on a rock, with her mouth open, bared fangs. Rectangular base, of gray veined marble. Polychrome rock, yellow-sand color; signature on the back: "T. CARTIER."
A gifted animalist, a continuator of this subject matter in 20th century French sculpture.
