Stefan Wierzbicki was born in 1938 in Vilnius. After graduating from the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Kaunas and the first year of sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vilnius, he began his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the sculpture studio of the eminent pedagogue Professor Franciszek Strynkiewicz. He graduated in 1964.Since then he has been working creatively and participating in exhibitions in Poland and abroad. The main inspiration for Stefan Wierzbicki's creations is the world of music.
Among the most important solo exhibitions of Stefan Wierzbicki's sculpture are:
- at the Re Enzo Palace in Bologna, Italy, at the invitation of the Municipality of Bologna in 1975.
- at the Zachęta Gallery of the Central Bureau of Art Exhibitions in 1979.
- at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw - an exhibition accompanying the Warsaw Autumn music festival in 1991.
- at the Warsaw Form and Color Gallery in 1996.
- at the M. K. Ciurlionis Art Museum in Kaunas in 1996.
- at the Museum of the Earth of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw in 1997.
- at the National Museum of Lithuania in Vilnius in 1999.
- at the Museum of the Earth of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw in 1999.

- at the Lithuanian Center in Warsaw in 2007.
