Stanislaw Wysocki
Born in 1949 in Elk, Poland. In 1978-80 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, and later in (1981-86) at the Hochschule der Kunste in Berlin, in the studio of Prof. J.H. Lonas. He received his diploma in sculpture in 1986.During his studies in Berlin, he worked as an apprentice at the famous sculpture foundry "Herman NOACK Bildgieserei", where he met many world-renowned sculptors, including Henry Moore and Kenneth Armitage.During his apprenticeship, he began studying at the Hochschule der Künste, an art academy in Berlin. In 1986, he returned to Wroclaw. In 1990, together with a group of Wroclaw artists, he exhibited his work at the Cannden Art Center in London. He made his first independent exhibition in 1991 at the Wroclaw "Desa" on Kosciuszko Square.
At that time, prestigious Scandinavian galleries were interested in his works. Since then, his sculptures are known in England, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, France and Germany.
Cooperation in making sculptures resulted in a residency at his Pery Green studio near London in 1990.
The artist currently lives in Wroclaw. He has had dozens of solo exhibitions and dozens of group exhibitions. His works have been exhibited in Germany, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, England, Turkey and numerous galleries in the country.
