Sculpture of Józef Piłsudski.
Sculpture from the vicinity of Starachowice. Stained (?) with traces of varnish. Author unrecognized, species of wood - probably linden. According to ethnographers, the work is authentic - folk, pre-war. Certainly, closer research would allow to determine the authorship. The sculpture, made many years ago, changed hands twice, so it is difficult to determine the details. According to experts, it presents museum value and has great display value.
The profile of the Marshal's face shows a not very deep crack in the wood.
Height 53 cm, width at the widest point 18, 5 cm.
