Mihran HAKOBYAN (b. 1984), Mantis, 2024

He was born in 1984 in Armenia. From 2000 to 2006 he studied at the Department of Sculpture at the State Academy of Arts of Armenia, graduating with honors. As a student, he participated in various student exhibitions and competitions. After graduation, he actively participated in national exhibitions. He creates in wood, stone and bronze. As a sculptor, he has performed at open-air exhibitions. In 2014, he created the first Wikipedia monument in the world, which stands in Slubice (Lubuskie Voivodeship, Poland). He also works in painting, graphic design and animation. As a director, animator and screenwriter, he has created several animated films that have participated in various film festivals. One film received the audience award in Moscow.
