His sculptural art is based on a thorough understanding of the properties of metal. The basic idea behind many of his works is the artist's desire to work out organic beauty in the anaesthetic and realistically difficult material of steel and its varieties. Mariusz Chrzastek has turned these material inconveniences into a value of his works.
