Maciej Pęcak, was born in 1964 in Rymanowo. After graduating from the High School of Fine Arts in Miejsce Piastowe, he developed his interests at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture in 1991 in the studio of Antoni Hajdecki. In his work he uses natural materials: wood and stone, as well as bronze and metal. He is the creator of monumental and sacred sculptures. He is also close to drawing, painting and arts and crafts. He has been living and creating in Krakow since the mid-1980s. His studio is located in the house of Jacek Malczewski.
"Maciej Pecak is a constant "traveler" looking for the perfect form, dabbling in shapes, structure, drawing and color spot. This is good, because this is what an artist should be - creative open and sensitive. A painter and sculptor in one with an innate imagination and sense of aesthetics, he makes his works full of themes, symbols and fantasies. They can be savored, covered anew and eagerly viewed."
