Biography
Studied sociology and psychology at Jagiellonian University. He started his artistic activity around 2001. As a VJ Jansi cooperated with the Commbo group creating visuals to music in clubs and with the 36.6 foundation. The sources of his inspiration became computer games, the Internet and the broadly defined archive. His works are also based on scientific theories, analytical models used in geography and economics. In 2007, he received the Deutsche Bank 'Views' Award for the best artist under the age of 35. Simon's solo exhibitions were held in Warsaw's Zachęta Gallery (2005), Krakow's Bunkier Sztuki (2007), Lodz's Atlas Sztuki (2006) and Bialystok's Arsenal Gallery (2008), among others. The artist has also participated in many group exhibitions and art reviews: including at the CCA Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw (2007 and 2009), Arnolfini in Bristol (2009), Tate Modern in London (2006) and the Manifesta 7 festival (2008).
