The figure of a young woman in an almost kneeling pose on a circular base; hands folded, placed on her knees; wearing a long skirt, blouse with an overhanging loincloth, with her head turned to the side - in a gesture of expectation;
The prototype of the offered sculpture by Henri Chapu executed in marble (1870-1872, height 117 cm) is in the Musée d`Orsay in Paris.
