Czeslaw Yalowiecki was born in 1935 in Przyszowice, Upper Silesia. At a young age, workshops in sculpture, mainly in coal, guided his interest in art. He continued it at the famous "Kenarówka" - High School of Fine Arts in Zakopane under the guidance of Kenar himself. He went on to study at the Poznan College of Fine Arts. His second passion is music. From the very beginning of his education, the artist played in music, jazz and dance bands. In 1964 he returned to Zakopane, where he worked as a music instructor and teacher at the High School. Under the inspiration of Czeslaw Yalowiecki, the first woodcarving workshop was established at Zakopane's MDK. Soon after, in 1981, the artist became the director of the institution. Since 1965 he has been actively participating in artistic life, taking part in many individual and collective exhibitions. He is actively involved in the Association of Polish Artists. In 2012 he was awarded the medal "Meritorious to Culture - Gloria Artis".
The artist creates works in stone and bronze, as well as metal collages, made in his own technique of welding, burning and cutting. He is inspired by man and his life.
