The present beautiful bronze sculpture on a marble base depicts Mercury, also known as Hermes, the messenger of the gods. It is a small scale model of the famous Medici Mercury, made by Giambologna (1529 - 1608) in 1580, now it is in the Bargello National Museum (Florence). The statue represents the Greek messenger of the gods, who carries the caduceus to guide the souls of the dead, standing on the breath of Zephyr, an allegory of the west wind., Bronze, 50 cm
