Bartłomiej Śnieciński creates sculptures out of an inner uncontrollable need of his soul. After many years of photographic passion, he decided to reach for something new and find another way to express his artistic vision. He found an outlet for his creativity in sculpture. His work is inspired by everyday life, which in Sniecinski's works is devoid of routine and the mundane of permanently repetitive activities. What he creates is a reflection of his observations, personal judgments and intuitions. He experiments with form and concepts. His work has quickly found an audience, and art galleries are eager to exhibit his work. Sculptures have been presented at the 9th International Art Review Alternatives 33, among others, and works are in private collections in Europe and beyond.
The seemingly ordinary portrait of a popular animal surprises with the addition of an equally common attribute of alienated human individuals who consciously isolate themselves from their surroundings, focusing on their own emotions or deepened consciousness. Or is the rabbit thus receiving some instruction coming from an external source? We can come closer to resolving this dilemma by giving ourselves a chance to contemplate the sculpture in a more intimate way. It is likely that then we will be given the opportunity to satisfy our curiosity and find out - contrary to the object's title - how deep the Rabbit Burrow goes.
