Artur Majka was born in 1967 in Tarnow, Poland. Since 1992 he has been living and working in Paris. He graduated from the Cracow University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture, and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. His versatile education is reflected both in the variety of techniques he uses, which include acrylic painting, photography, screen printing and many others, and in the richness of his professional experience. Indeed, the artist is not only involved in painting or photography, but also in graphic design, including illustrating various types of publications and creating posters. What's more, Majka often applies different inspirations, techniques and styles within a single work, which allows him to achieve original artistic effects. Artur Majka regularly presents his works in Poland, the United States and France. For the past seven years, he has been associated with the Paris-based Roi Doré Gallery, for which he designed its first logo and where he has exhibited his works several times (in solo and group exhibitions).
