About the Author:
In 1965 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts
in Warsaw at the Department of Sculpture. In the same year he became a member of the Association of Polish Artists. From 1965 to 2004 he was a sculpture teacher at the Antoni Kenar State High School of Fine Arts in Zakopane. From 1982 to 1991 he served as deputy director.
He was repeatedly awarded for his outstanding artistic achievements as well as his didactic and educational work. He creates as a result of observation and interpretation of nature transforms it into the language of sculpture. By "the language of sculpture" he means a new formal reality. The main theme of his works is a dowdy woman, provocative often dominating a man.
He has presented his works in many solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad.
His sculptures are among others in the collections of the Polish Sculpture Center in Orońsko, the Museum of Jan Kochanowski in Czarnoles, the Royal Łazienki in Warsaw, the Copper Museum in Legnica, the Tatra Museum in Zakopane, the Municipal Art Gallery in Zakopane, in collections at home
and abroad.
