Anna Paszkiewicz is one of the most important artists in the art of post-war Szczecin. A native of the Vilnius area, she was born in 1940. She came to Poland at the age of 15. She studied at the Department of Sculpture of the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk. She received her diploma in the atelier of Prof. S. Horno- Poplawski in 1964. She is the author of outdoor works in Poland, Latvia, Germany and Italy. In 1971- 86 she cooperated with the Szczecin Shipyard, creating bas-reliefs in copper sheet and ceramics. Her interests include monumental, intimate, figural and abstract sculpture of anthropomorphic character, installation, performance.
