Anna Beata Wątróbska-Wdowiarska
Born January 17, 1960 in Warsaw.
Medallic sculptor, she studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, from 1981 to 1987, specializing in medal making in the studio of Prof. Zofia Demkowska. She completed her diploma in the studio of Prof. Stanislaw Slonina. The diploma work was awarded the Prof. Marian Wnuk medal. Lane and minted medals are in the collections of foreign and domestic museums and private individuals. His artistic output includes more than two hundred realizations of beaten medals. For 20 years she has been working with the Mint of Poland S.A. and the National Bank of Poland, for which she has realized a series of coins commemorating the Smolensk tragedy (a gold coin with portraits of Maria and Lech Kaczynski) and is currently realizing a series of coins with portraits of Polish kings according to medals ordered by Stanislaw August Poniatowski. He is a member of the International Federation of Medal-Making, FIDEM, and ZPAP. Vice president of the Polish Association of Medallic Art. In her work, she does not limit herself to flat relief, but also realizes spatial sculptural forms, from small form to monument. In 2000, she realized a commemorative plaque with the bust of Primate Stefan Wyszynski for the Zamojski Museum in Kozlowka.

Awards:
  • Second place in a closed competition announced by the Department of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts and the Head of the City of Lowicz, on the occasion of the 850th anniversary of Lowicz (minted medal) 1986.
  • Prize for artistic level awarded by the Hungarian Numismatic Institute "Salvador Dali", FIDEM 1994 (cast medal).
  • Third place in the congressional medal competition FIDEM 1996 (beaten medal).
  • First place in the competition announced by the Maria Sklodowska-Curie Society in Tribute and the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the discovery of radium (minted medal) 1996.
  • Second place in a competition announced by the Warsaw City Hall for a medal dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the Capital City of Warsaw (minted medal) 1996
  • First place in a competition announced by the Chancellery of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, for a Sejm medal (cast medal) 1996.
  • Second place in the 1st International Competition "Masaccio 600" , Tel Aviv (cast medal) 2002.
  • Distinction in the 2nd International Competition "Spirit of the Violin", Tel Aviv (cast medal) 2002.
  • Special Prize Awarded by Bassis School of Sculpture in the 2nd International Competition, Tel Aviv (cast medal) 2002.
  • First place in the International Coin Competition organized by the Japanese Mint (plaster design) 2003.
  • Third prize in the competition VII Autumn Art Salon in Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski 2004 (Dante Europeo).
  • Third place in the International Coinage Competition organized by the Mint of Japan (plaster design) 2004.
  • Distinction in the competition VIII Autumn Art Salon in Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski 2006 (diptych "Drop").
  • Third prize in the International Coin Competition organized by the Mint of Japan (plaster project) together with Magdalena Dobrucka) 2006.
  • Second prize in the 2011 International Coin Contest in St. Petersburg for the Silver Coin of the Year (Icon of Our Lady of Smolensk).
  • Third prize in the 2011 International Coin Contest in St. Petersburg for the Silver Coin of the Year (Slavic Woman).
  • First prize in the International Medallion Contest "Beauty of Animals" China/Beijing 2015.
