BIO:
Born in 1966. Graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. In 1992 he defended his Diploma in the studio of Prof. Edward Sitek. From 1998 to 2013 he lived and worked in Canada, and currently creates in Warsaw and Żuławy. Hedevelops his fascination with nature and geometry simultaneously in the form of sculptures, prints and installations, which is reflected in the series "Open Concept", "Metamorphoses Empty Spaces", "Identity" and "Infinity". He is the recipient of the Rector's Award of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the "Art Confrontations 2016" competition, the special award of the Fondo de las Artes Buenos Aires (Argentina, 2000), the first prize of the Vogtlangisches Holzbildhauer Symposium (Germany, 2001), silver and bronze medals in the Warsaw Sculpture Salons (1994 - 1996). Scholarship recipient of The Pollock Krasner Foundation Inc. New York (USA, 1994), Ontario Arts Council and Canada Council Grants (1998 - 2004) and resident of Vermont Studio Center (USA, 1999). His works have been presented in solo and group exhibitions at McMichael Canadian Art Collection, York University, University of Toronto, Thames Art Gallery, Living Arts Centre, Cambridge Sculpture Garden, Toronto Art Fair International, and in Poland at EL Gallery in Elblag, BWA in Sopot, Sc ulpture Gallery in Warsaw or Gdansk City Gallery, among others.Participant of symposia and creator of art projects in Europe, Argentina, India, South Korea, Canada and the United States.
