Zdzislaw Beksinski was a fan of technical innovations, especially within the realm of tools that could introduce a new dimension to his work. After many years of concentrating on painting and drawing and completely abandoning art photography at the end of the 1990s, he became fascinated with the possibilities of computers in creating digital graphics. Beksinski begins to combine classical drawing with computer modifications. He scans his handwritten drawing, which was often a sketch for a painting or a reproduction of motifs shown through painting, and modifies it in computer programs.
Zdzislaw Beksinski's computer-modified drawings are printed from original media left by the artist, and are made available in a limited edition of 60 pieces for each motif. They bear a dry stamp and a wet stamp with a description of the copy number and a signature confirming authenticity.
