Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Between 1905 and 1926 lived in Zakopane. Since 1928 he worked at the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius. After the war, he settled in Torun. At the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University, he headed the department of easel painting.
All important trends in Polish and European painting were reflected in his paintings. Tymon, a student of Wyspianski, Mehoffer and Axentowicz, absorbed in his painting, the artistry of the great masters of contemporary European art (Gauguin, Klimt, Cezanne, Picasso) and in his workshop gave them their own unique, harmonious expression, full of peace and moderation. Favorite motifs of his paintings were nudes in the interior, landscapes, flowers, still lifes.
