Biography
Initially studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Poznan. He continued his studies at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the studios of M. and M. Kotarbinski and W. Skoczylas. He debuted at the exhibition of the Association of Graphic Artists Ryt. During the first years of his career, he devoted himself mainly to woodcut work. He traveled a lot, visited China, Mexico, Brazil, India, countries of Europe. His travels became the inspiration for his artistic series of drawings depicting the countries he visited - their landscape, nature and the people living there. He operated with an extremely concise, economical line, achieving a drawing with a very strong, clear expression. He was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
