Jozef Panfil was born in 1958 in Tomaszow Mazowiecki. He studied at the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz.
In 1987 he received a creative scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Art. He is the winner of, among others, an honorable mention in the Leon Wyczółkowski National Competition, an honorable mention at the 24th National Exhibition "Bielska Jesień", an honorable mention in the 14th National J. Spychalski Competition and the Grand Prix at the Biennale of Small Painting Forms.
Jozef Panfil's works can be found in the Bureau of Art Exhibitions in Piotrkow Trybunalski and Czestochowa, the Museum of Kujawska and Dobrzyńska Lands in Wloclawek, the Museum of History of the City of Lodz and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Radom, among others.
