He studied at the High School of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1956-1961, and then studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw 1961-1966. In 1966 he went to France to continue his studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris from 1967-1968. To this day he lives and works in France. Siudmak is considered one of the leading representatives of fantasy realism (like M. C. Escher, M. Klinger, L. Fini and others). He describes himself as a "fantasy hyperrealist," emphasizing his originality. Fantastic realism, combining surreal vision with naturalistic art, has its roots in surrealism represented by S. Dali, R. Magritte, P. Delvaux. Siudmak is linked to Dali by virtuosity in rendering the three-dimensional illusion of space, a sense of light and shadow. To these traditional means of expression Siudmak adds purely realistic and very personal elements, where technical perfection is at the service of an original and lush imagination. His paintings are distributed worldwide and are often used as posters by cinema, theater, festivals and museums (Cannes Film Festival, Montreal Film Festival, etc.). They also decorate the covers of books, records. They can also be found in prestigious art collections of famous actors, directors and musicians.
