Kazimierz Wiśniak stage designer, painter, draughtsman and graphic artist; co-founder of Piwnica pod Baranami. Born December 11, 1931 in Lodz, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. For years he has been associated with Lanckorona, where a collection of his works is located in the building of the former magistrate's office. Kazimierz Wiśniak has more than 250 stage design projects to his credit. He has worked with prominent directors such as Jerzy Jarocki, Konrad Swinarski and Henryk Tomaszewski of the Wroclaw Pantomime Theater. He drew for "Przekroj", "Rzeczpospolita", "Monthly in Krakow", among others. He illustrated books, including "On the Market in Krakow" (1978), "Songs that grandparents sang when they were little" (1991), "Piwnica pod Baranami" by Joanna Olczak-Ronikier (1994) and his own journal "Z życia scenografa".
