[WEISMAN Lazar]. "Pike."
Ink drawing, colored in watercolor, form. 20x12.3 cm. Young Jew holding a magnificent pike in his hands. Work signed with monogram "L. W.", next to the author's note "Kolomyja 1934" and a small Star of David. Minor stains. Drawing in an old wooden frame, frame slightly scratched.
L. Weisman, a popular interwar Jewish painter and illustrator active mainly in Kolomyja, was sent to Auschwitz in 1941, where he died a year later.
