Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798-1861) - Japanese painter, considered one of the last great artists of ukiyo-e in woodcut and painting. His real name was Magosaburō Igusa, and he studied under Kunisada Utagawa. He was involved in woodcuts and book illustration. He painted landscapes, beautiful women, mythical animals, theatrical scenes and warriors.
