Tomasz Sętowski - "Trips into the land of fantasy are for me a search for treasures that I would like to share. The mind is a kind of dream factory activated for the time of creation. Coming up with monumental compositions is an attempt to exist in the world of imagination, away from everyday life. The choice I have made in life seems apt to me - painting comes easily to me, but I find it difficult to part with a painting. The artistic journeys I've taken in my life were caused by my love of painting. In addition to painting, I am interested in art in a broad sense. These interests have guided me to the trail of my own style, of which I am slowly becoming a slave. In creating my recent works, I have had enough time to get used to the idea that these paintings will be lost to exhibitions, until they eventually end up in various collections. But such is the fate of a painting, to travel and change hands."
