Tomasz Daniec (born 1973) - graphic designer and painter. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Obtained diploma with distinction in 1998, in copperplate workshop at the Faculty of Graphic Arts under supervision of Prof. St. Wejman. Since 1998 assistant in copperplate workshop of Prof. S. Wejman (Faculty of Graphic Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow). In 1997 he was awarded a Scholarship at the Kent Institute of Art.&Design, Maidstone, UK. In 1999 he was awarded the Creative Scholarship of the City of Cracow, and in 2003 the T. Kulisiewicz Scholarship. In 2003, he won the Silver Medal in the Graphics category at the 11th International Biennial of Graphics and Drawing in Taipei, Taiwan. In 2009, he was awarded a PhD and in 2014 a postdoctoral degree from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He has served as vice dean since 2012 and has been an associate professor since 2014. Recipient of numerous awards and honors, including: silver medal at the 11th International Biennial of Graphic Arts and Drawing in Taichung, Taiwan (2003); Award of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań (2006); Individual Third Degree Award of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow for artistic and teaching achievements (2007); Grand Prix at the 8. Polish Print Triennial in Katowice (2012).In 2012 he won the Guanlan International Print Prize at the 3rd International Print Biennial, Guanlan, Shenzhen (China). His works are in the collections of: Guanlan International Print Collection, Shenzhen, China; BWA Gallery, Katowice, Poland; Triennale of Polish Graphics, Katowice, Poland; National Art Gallery of the Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taichung, Taiwan; Leon Wyczółkowski District Museum, Bydgoszcz, Poland; International Graphic Collection of the Civic Museum of Cremona, Italy.
