Woodcut on tint, paper. Dimensions: comp. 9 x 6 cm; framed: 17 x 12 cm. Signed l.d. "Woodcut" and p.d. "P. Steller 1956." Below the composition, inscription: "Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! wished by the Stellers."

Pawel Steller (1895-1974) - graphic artist and painter. He graduated from the Warsaw State School of Fine Arts (in 1925), from the graphic arts department. He was a student of, among others, Władysław Skoczylas. Before the war he was awarded, among others, a gold medal at the Paris Exhibition in 1937. For most of his creative life he was associated with Katowice.
