Max Steckel (1870-1947), was a famous Upper Silesian photographer active in Chorzow, Katowice, Zabrze and Gliwice. He took a series of photographs of wild animals on behalf of Ks. Hohenlohe, the same on behalf of Tsar Bulgari. He is the author of hundreds of photos of mines, industrial facilities and miners' lives. He also took artistic portrait photos in noble techniques. The hero of many museum exhibitions. Photo taken in noble matte technique with a silvery glow of bromoil probably. Stain of cardboard etuii, otherwise good condition.
