Franciszek Starowieyski was an artist who was very skilful and skillful in creating forms of sophisticated ornamentation on paper, reminiscent of Baroque culture (in particular, this can be seen in works made with pen and ink). This is evidenced by his artistically ornamented calligraphies, which, however, remain in the minority among the collection, making them unique and iconic works.
On the back of the stamp: "From the drawings of Franciszek Starowieyski" and a confirmation of authenticity by the artist's son Jan Mikołaj Starowieyski. The work also comes with a certificate of authorship signed by J. M. Starowieyski. The work comes from the private collection of the artist's family. Particularly noteworthy is the way the work was framed, as conservation glass was used for this purpose, which reduces light reflections. This type of glass allows for perfect reflection of the actual colors and excellent transparency. Such a solution protects against UV fading and aging associated with the passage of time.
