Biography
Graphic artist, painter, educator. Studied at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1962-1968, first painting in the studio of Hanna Rudzka-Cybisowa, then printmaking. Diploma in 1968 in the Copperplate Workshop under Professor Mieczyslaw Wejman. Since 1968 an employee of the Cracow University. In 1984-85 he worked as a visiting professor in the USA and in 1990 in Canada. He taught printmaking at art colleges and universities in Antwerp, Maastricht, Montreal, Storrs (Connecticut, USA), Urbino, among others. Laureate of the Funded Prize of the 8th National Graphics Exhibition in Warsaw in 1978, among others. First Prize for the Best Graphic of the Month in Cracow in 1979; honorable mention in the competition of the Polish Association of Book Publishers in 2004; individual award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in 2005; "Golden Frame" award of the Cracow District Board of the Association of Polish Artists in 2011. Awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2013).
