Stanislaw Marciniec (1932 - ) is a native of Wielkopolska, a graduate of the Poznań High School of Fine Arts and the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań, with many individual and collective exhibitions to his credit. Combining pedagogical work with artistic and exhibition activities, he was the author of many graphic works, in which he presented Wielkopolska landscapes and themes. In addition to printmaking, he also practiced other forms - oil painting is a significant part of his oeuvre. The view from Rakoniewice, dating from the mid-1960s, captures well the atmosphere of this sub-Poznan town - still rural in character, with its characteristic architecture of arcaded market houses.
