Ryszard SKUPIN [1930 - 2005] - Polish painter and sculptor, creator of monuments. In 1955 he graduated from the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań. Thanks to a scholarship from the French government, he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Marseille. He made artistic trips to France, Sweden, Yugoslavia and Spain. He is the creator of monuments such as: Stanislaw Staszic in Poznan, monuments and sculpture at the Poznan Citadel [monument to those killed during the bombing of Ławica, monument to PPR workers], Wielkopolska Insurgents in Górczyn, Karol Świerczewski [together with Anna Krzymanska]. The 13th Curiosity Auction offers more than a dozen of the artist's paintings, dating from the 1960s, including works from the "Don Quixote" series and works made during his stay in France and Yugoslavia.
