Kobzdej, and later studied with S. Szczepanski, J. Wodynski, W. Daszkiewicz (in scenography) and J. Palka (in typography). His artistic work was significantly influenced by his participation in M. Porębski's seminar on visual culture at the Academy of Fine Arts and the National Art Institute.
In 1966, the artist received the main prize at the symposium of artists and theoreticians "Art in a Changing World" in Pulawy. A year later, the first individual exhibition takes place at the "Contemporary" Gallery in Warsaw (he presented his works together with Feliks Falk's drawings). During the second exhibition, Winiarski exhibited for the first time multicolor and spatial works. In 1973, the artist was awarded a Kosciuszko Foundation scholarship, under which he traveled to the United States. Three years later, he began working at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lubin, and in 1981 he took over the studio "Problems of Painting in Architecture and Human Environments" at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (he is also a professor at the HFG in Offenbach, Germany). In 1978, he won the Grand Prix at the International Triennial of Drawing in Wroclaw. He is also a recipient of the J. Cybis Award. The artist was associated with the Dutch community, working with Herman de Vries and the international group "Arbeitskreis".
He presented his works in the Art Museum in Lodz, the National Museum in Warsaw, the "Pavilion" Gallery in Cracow, as well as in São Paulo, New York, Munich, London and Barcelona. In 1996 there was a retrospective exhibition of the artist at the "House of the Visual Artist" in Warsaw.
